We're such complex creatures, I don't think any of us completely understands ourselves fully

And that's just the psychological part

@chaekyung @realcaseyrollins gonna get banned for "being a nazi" having crazy ideas like that :blobcatsip:

@realcaseyrollins There's sites outside the fediverse like this one
linuxreviews.org/Fediverse#Pub
(there is a edit source button there, btw)

#google and #microsoft can drop lists like that from #googlesearch and #bing respectively. Good news is that it's not up to any #fediverse admin if they do or don't.

I think lists outside the fediverse matters more than those within, new users looking for a good instance will search the web, not the fediverse network.

@realcaseyrollins What if the telephone network worked like the Fediverse?

"We are sorry, this call can't be placed because someone using the provider of the customer you are trying to call once said something one of our board members deemed to be offensive"

All the admins banning long lists of other instances, in many cases not knowing why the instances on the list they copypaste are on it, is a problem.

One solution is to make guides listing instances that are not like that.

#fediverse

@sev @realcaseyrollins

Friggin do it...this is the last of freedom of speech...

Speech your mind, offend some people even me, iron sharpens iron
@sasha_sorokin @Gargron virtually all the instances that do mass block-lists are *highly* ideological and full of legitimate extremists, so i don't think they're really going to care all that much about the integrity of the fedivers or their users' freedom to self-moderate

@sasha_sorokin
I agree with you!

But you'll never know about it, because your instance, ran by the person you mentioned, suspends my instance, because I had a minor disagreement with someone on a totally different instance.
@Gargron
