@sim oh shoot after following the account for a bit I read that VERY differently at first glance 😅

tfw locked out of a pizza website. Lmao. Do you guys want me to eat your pizza or what?

@Cyph So...you're saying we need to change gun laws instead of bringing in the feds? There are a few hurdles here:

1. The lawmakers wouldn't pass a bill to change the laws
2. If they did, people who defend themselves against are getting arrested instead of the terrorists. Defending yourself means jail time.
3. Ignoring the last two hurdles, there's a massive gun shortage rn

That's not a viable option to stop . I agree that the gun laws need to change of course, but it's not an appropriate response to , especially not at this time.

@Cyph We've actually been giving the citizens every opportunity to do this, for over a month. It failed. Time for plan b. 😎

@Cyph heh if that was going to happen would already be gone

I prefer effective action

@Cyph So how are we supposed to stop again? I don't think I've heard you offer an alternative to this yet. What should we do instead?

@Cyph I still support the moves until somebody comes up with a better idea tho...not sure what else can be done to stop . Being nice to them hasn't been working.

@realcaseyrollins

if the people they snatched actually did something, why were they let go?
@stux Followed your toot/advice earlier about Twitter and set up my own instance ;)

@Cyph

Well, is there a better way to apprehend these terrorists? If you go to them when they're in a group, you're get mobbed. Go in a marked vehicle, and the vehicle would probably be stormed.

This does seem pretty harsh, but none of the gentler methods we've tried have been working so far. Is there a better solution?

> do you remember how the Black Codes codified things like gun control for black people?

I didn't study those all to well, but weren't those discriminatory laws? Current legal precedent prevents those from being created anymore. Seems to me that the issue with the law and the methods of apprehension are a little bit different and not very relevant to this discussion.

Donut Operator did a really good video showing some of these people and what they've been doing, along with the weapons that have been found on them.
