2. Gleasonator actually runs a modded version of #Gab by @alex called #SoapBox, although I believe he's working with #Gab now to get his bug fixes implemented in the #Gab code, as well as developing something called "HYDRA".
@judgedread @tiwake @m I heard something about that. I'm not trying to be rude, but If you don't trust Gab then why are you still here? There's other Gab instances you can go to if you don't trust this server. They have no affiliation with Gab.

No, they've mostly gone to other proprietary sites. A mainstream site is going to have to adopt ActivityPub for Fedi to get really mainstream (which Jack actually has talked about as a possibility before with Twitter)
