One of the reason i really love the QOTO crows are conversations like this.
We seem to be a haven for people who can debate on otherwise volatile issues respectfully and to do so in a way that is insightful and chariable in both directions. Its a welcome respite from the drama we usually deal with in other social media settings on the internet.

We're chatting on the "fediverse", in which a bunch of "instances" "federate" with each other. These words, oft repeated, lose some of their meaning, but think deeper into the etymology of the fediverse.
This is not a platform, it is a federation (noun) of soverign platforms (plural). The true, profound power of the fediverse is in its decentralized governance and the treaties established between its soverign states.

I'm planning to massively refactor the soapbox-fe post composer before the 1.0 release. I've discovered it's the most complicated piece of the whole codebase. It needs more tests
It's a lot of hard work but we're moving along pretty fast. Many bugs are getting ironed out every day. Looking forward to moving onto the next piece of the puzzle. (Actually I'm not, because it's the recurring donations platform, which I still haven't decided the best way to do yet). Still, the future is bright.
