@death@husk.site Yeah, I do think it's counterproductive. I think we need to be focused on enacting long-lasting change, and burning down the police department will only cause negative change, not positive change.

White officers will view black citizens in a more negative light, and probably be more likely to use force; and the police will be worse equipped to protect the citizens and stop crime. And it's not like the government isn't going to just rebuild the precinct later.

On the malitia point, that's the last thing you want. It'd instantly start a race war, and even worse, you will see a rash of lynchings of unarmed African-Americans.

Burning crosses were a hallmark of the #KKK, they would use them to intimidate black Americans. Some could misconstrue these graphics and assume they are racist.
