@sasha_sorokin @Gargron virtually all the instances that do mass block-lists are *highly* ideological and full of legitimate extremists, so i don't think they're really going to care all that much about the integrity of the fedivers or their users' freedom to self-moderate

There's a HUGE difference between people who like you and people who like what you say
This is kinda what I was trying to say at the NA meetup the other day. Masks are virtual signaling because no one actually really cares about other people outside of people they know. In my opinion if you are wearing a mask it doesn’t mean you care about people, it means that you WANT people to think that you care about people.
