Almost got a mobile solution to chats working. It’s just a page that embeds the chats. Will need to do some conditional logic on the “Start chat” button of user profiles.

@freemo @cy @realcaseyrollins @realcaseyrollins its really easy to say this when youre not in the situation. When the person who has already fought you off once is reaching for a knife while youre still wrestling with them youre going to use whatever force is available to you to defend yourself

Like shoot once and if it connects he’s probably disabled from the pain and shock, so just watch his gun arm. Knife arm. Potential knife arm. Sure it would get a few more cops killed, but it would save so many more innocent lives from being shot dead, and isn’t that what the police do? Put their life on the line to save the lives of innocents?

If all they’re trying to do is kill the bad guys without taking any risks, then they can just fire bomb his car from a distance, or at least firebomb the local block. No cops lives would be put at risk then! Much safer.

I think we are on the same page more often than you realize honestly. When we do disagree it tends to be on minor points or points that just arent very easy to determine factually what happened.

Our guts tend to disagree, but our logic often tends to agree on many subjects I find.

Im always naturally suspicious of cops as they do have a habit of planting evidence and covering up their murders when they happen. so to me body cam footage or something more concrete to show he was clearly reaching for his weapon will go a long way to settling any doubts... But for now I do concede that if the knife turns out to be legit and if it is true he was reaching for it then the cops had justification in firing, even if I feel their reaction was disproportionate to the situation.

No i agree, if he was actually trying to get a knife to fight officers, and especially considering they already tried to tase him, then I could see self defence being appropriate. I still feel they over reacted, but its less grievous in that case.
