i'm so fucking tired

Goodnight fedi friends!

Today wasn’t great, but it wasn’t terrible. I did talk to a counsellor but it was a waste of time. We couldn’t connect at all, she didn’t understand my problems — or maybe I couldn’t convey them well to her. She didn’t get what I was talking about and mainly ended up giving me answers that felt trite and empty to me. So that was disappointing.

That said, I’m a tough nut to crack, and she didn’t have anywhere near the qualifications to match my problems. You can’t talk to a nihilist about the “meaning of life”, it doesn’t make sense to us. It just sounds like gibberish and rubbish platitudes — precisely the kind of thing that I’m fed up with.

I got recommended some people who do cognitive behavioural therapy. High suspicion. The fact is I’m going to be automatically defensive to anyone who is going to try to convince me there is a point to any of this. Whatever poor bastard ends up with me is going to have a bad time. I don’t do it intentionally, but I have a lifetime of philosophical study and experience to back up my positions.

Anyway, enough of that.
