Hi everyone, I sorry to do another #introduction so soon but we have another new member I wanted to share with everyone.

@jinohchoi recently joined the #QOTO family and after chatting with him I wanted to share his account with everyone, I'm looking forward to seeing some wonderful content coming from him.

He is new here in the #fediverse so would be great if we can all show him what a great place this can be.

He is Director of ICT at "Pint of Science" with an interesting past, for example he was also the Vice-chair for March for Science. He describes himself as "...a science advocate who seeks to promote critical thinking and an understanding of the scientific method."

Looking forward to seeing some great #Science posts from him in the future.

People seem to think being a moderate means I'm always in the middle on every issue, like somehow I on the fence about guns and LGBT rights and uncertain about both..

No, It just means I am capable of seeing past dogma and accepting good principles no matter what side of the political fence it lies on. I can completely support gun rights AND completely support LGBT rights at the same time. Hell I say give all the LGBT members guns, they will probably be a lot safer for it.

Very valid points. But keep in mind at the end of the day it doesnt change the fact that if you mute/block someone it **will** in fact ensure there is less of a chance you get doxxed or attacked.

Sure they can easily just open it up in a new browser window. But because your toots arent flying past their face in a federated feed unless someone explicitly tells them about the post they will never know it existed in the first place.

So while it is not a security measure in any sense what so ever it can still be effective in protecting you, albeit limited as it may be.
