What is tolerance?

The Fediverse is going to win ! ! ! ! ! The platforms of today will grow into invaluable staple platforms in the future of social networking #ReDecentralizeTheWeb

The world is about to find out what happens when not everybody has to work

Didn't realize you could get a 1TB MicroSD card now. That's fucking insane.

I'm running a new Pleroma server at gleasonator.dev for development and testing. It's an ephemeral server with no guarantee of uptime or database retention. Using this as a starting point for new Soapbox.

@alex Well, at least you don't struggle with articulating how you feel. 😬

Mate, you're a super mega geek and you gave us Spinster, so don't fret about Gab's failings. I would just think about all you can accomplish without the stench of Gab clinging to your work. Look how much BS Spinster gets for it.

P.S. 110% isn't a thing. There can never be more than 100%. <hugs> 😉

P.P.S. Yes, Gab is shit. Fuck them. 😤

@oneway @alex Okay, I'm really not in the mood to defend Gab but this is pretty basic bitch stuff that literally every company does. It's not that big a deal.

The bigger thing to bring up would be the fact that they'll give your private data to Feds without a warrant, that they'll delete accounts critical of its administration, or that they antagonize any external entity they can stir drama with to rally their base into donations, to the detriment of their long-term success.

@oneway @alex Idk, people take Gab being Gab super personally, and like... at a certain point you just have to accept that they have this culture, and sure they get their money mostly from people who just don't know any better, but that's just how they are. They have this service, it functions, they are making new stuff, inefficient as they are with the qc, so it's not like they're committing fraud.

I've always thought that Gab's issues were largely due to incompetent management and I still think that's probably true, unless Alex breaks his NDA to correct me on that 😆

@oneway @alex Maybe I'm reading into it too much but his post seems to imply creative disagreements (for lack of a better phrase) which I kinda thought might be going on anyway from the fact that he'd started mentioning Pleroma as a backup plan a few days ago.

@alex It's a pro-freedom of speech social media instance we'll be running. And we'll use your software to power it. So that's why I'm saying we'd love to help you out.
