@realcaseyrollins some people vastly overestimate themselves, and underestimate the power of a crowd

@realcaseyrollins I saw the video, the man was innocent as far as I'm concerned. He only fired once someone rush to attack him, and had clearly been under attack for some time before arming himself.

This show of force from the officers was completely uncalled for. They should probably get prosecuted and fired, or at least retrained. Completely unnecessary.

Protests

These protests probably wouldn't have become as large if it hadn't been for so much unemployment caused by COVID-19 policies. A lot of people have more free time without a job.

Bruh is twittervideodownloader.com rate limiting or what?

If they are, I deserve it, but still

George Floyd's death was a murder of opportunity by someone who knew him and hated him. That this has spiralled into riots across the USA shows that violent tribalism outranks rational thought in America.

Interview with the man with a bow and arrow who was attacked by a mob. Apparently, they attacked him for saying "All Lives Matter". Apparently he was there to defend people but got beat up before he could do anything.

@realcaseyrollins that seems extremely gentle. Im pretty sure no one will cut the video to not show the people behind those sitting

Officers spraying tear gas on and (kinda gently tbh) kicking peaceful protesters who are standing in their way as they advance on protesters behind them.

Cop was maced in the face, and the mob literally DEFENDED him!!!

The site I use to download videos isn't working for the video where they're reportedly defending him, here's the link to the tweet:

Alternate angle of the moment from yesterday that police officers began driving directly into a mob that was attacking them

And a second post, made just now, by @endomain

Not seen here at Qoto, so a RT to spread the message.

Hello everyone.

There is a non-zero possibility that major US cities are about to get their civilian communications infrastructure turned off or significantly restricted. If this idea scares you too much to contemplate, please move on. I can't think of how to CW this appropriately, so my apologies for your anxiety, but this is important to my social circle, so I'll continue.

If you're worried about COVID-19 but you still want to make a positive impact, you can help to prepare for this eventuality.

The best way I can think to fight against comms being shut down is to use Dual Power Structure thinking: let's make our own network. This is not as unrealistic as it sounds. HAM Radio folks are already doing it. The software is open source, and runs on a massive number of surplus hardware.

Check out the AREDEN Compatibility Matrix: arednmesh.org/content/supporte

If you work your local network and make a few fast Amazon orders, I bet you'd have several square miles of coverage ready to go in an instant, and ready to backhaul internet to people who need it to protest.

You might say, "But Endomain, I'm not a licensed ham operator!"

I am not telling you what to do, but a lot of folks are breaking a lot of laws just by protesting. Folks are rightfully afraid of COVID-19 and that's fair, but you know what's socially distant? Rooftops of boarded up or looted buildings that are empty but still have electricity. Maybe this is a risk folks, licensed or not, are willing to take to take to keep comms up for protesters.
