Everyone keeps talking about June 1 being this thing called "Pride Month". I have no idea what that means, but just to correct everyone: tomorrow is actually the start of my birthday month.
Hands up this is a robbery, I'm going to steal your grans 🔫
A sizable percentage of the country will stomach expanded governmental powers and surveillance initiatives after these riots…because you morons wanted to behave like animals for a week.

Just like how a large portion of the country accepted the Patriot Act, etc., after the events of 9/11, the government now has good justification for the introduction of legislation that will hand them more power and control…and many people will support it (or, at least, not oppose it).

So, I guess, congratulations: you all are going to get more or less the opposite of what you all ostensibly "demonstrated" against.

Chicago: Went out to get some terrible fast food. Trucks everywhere on roadblocks. Didn't get any food because the entire place was being looted. White Castle was open; had city snow trucks guarding the entrance and letting cars in. I still have an out of state license, so I had to convince the cop I lived on my street. She took pity on me and let me pass. I'm glad they're blocking traffic though. It means the protesters need to be on foot. They're still out. This group just went down my street.

@realcaseyrollins @crunklord420 They're pro-anarchy terrorists. Of course they're going to be on a decentralized platform.
Joggers loot, Antifa sets fires. They really do target totally different things.
It's fun. Antifa has been LARPing as an underground org despite support from all levels of authority. Now they're actually about to go underground. How many bandwagoners fall off? Posers.
>no justice, no peace
>those who make peaceful revolution impossible, make violent revolution inevitable
is it me or are these just variations of "do what i want or i will kill you"

Jesus fuck.. It's hard to see. I got some better photos with my good camera I'll put up later. There was a line of protestors all the way down that bridge, with cops standing by and following them in. It's only 3pm. The sirens are already going off.

i sent my dad some links to police brutality videos bc he's not always the most discerning newsreader and he responded with the 😳 emoji. not sure he quite understands what that one means
