Damn, until recently DC was one of the safest cities in the country to protest in. It wasn't always that way. Up until the World Bank/ IMF protests in 2002 the DC Metro police trained other departments around the country in how to best beat the shit out of protesters. Then they had their asses handed to them in a lawsuit. Looks like they're ready to revert to their old habits.
