@kaniini @realcaseyrollins @mewmew >childhood sentience does not start until 2 or 3
I think that's an incredibly dangerous (and incorrect) line of thinking. I'd rather not normalize "post-birth" abortions. For me, any time during the first trimester is reasonable

Y'all ever consider that these riots are more similar to the Revolutions of 1848 over in than the Boston Tea Party? 🤔

@kaniini @realcaseyrollins @cirno @mewmew Sorry for interrumpting your talk 😅. I personally think both are needed, sex education specially. Here in México things are not going well in abortion ways, for some reason people thinks that girls are going to abort two times a week or something.

@kaniini @realcaseyrollins Oh, I don’t know, they do tend to have some minor differences in the precise form their ideal State takes. The anti-gun thing of the “left” vice the anti-… not sure what to call it. Not really sex thing but whatever one wants to call it.. on the “right” for instance

@wolfie @realcaseyrollins but that's the point, both have the same actual ideal world is one of a corporatocracy. the rest is PR.

@realcaseyrollins @kaniini To various degrees, both ‘sides’ are ultimately Statists. The only real difference is exactly which form and flavor the State takes in their ideal world

@realcaseyrollins @djsumdog But.. but.. we need to know the critical forecast for this weekend :laughing_cirno:

@realcaseyrollins Yep. Apparently the first time any police department has been sued for human rights violations (at least by their state government). https://nu.federati.net/notice/3315102
@mewmew @kaniini @realcaseyrollins Like 90% of Republicans claiming to fight for christian values have never read the book, they're only doing it to get the votes of actual worshippers (since they used to be the majority in america)

I should probably give users the ability to override the default brand color so they can experience the beauty of many colors.

To those of you who want a civil war, I say to you: you have no idea what you’re asking for. The causalities of war are high. You do realize that being the most moral or righteous does not in any way guarantee victory? There is literally no justice in war, only souls convinced of their rigorousness with promise of nobility. It is vanity to see glory in war. It is hubris exemplified! No American is asking for the war you want. No minority gives a shit about your white guilt.

@djsumdog civil war between who? people who do want to burn things down and those that do not?
@realcaseyrollins (also to be clear what the GOP platform is, is not conservatism. it's the same neoliberal crap the Democrats push except more transparently focused on big business and big money interests. real conservatism is advocacy for small government that takes the best ideas from across the spectrum to obtain the best possible outcomes.)
@realcaseyrollins sure, and that's what I am saying. I would believe that some of those chapters are either authcom terror cells or adjacent. those people are appropriating the idea of anti-fascism (a good thing) for their revolutionary agenda. I don't support those groups or their appropriation, and calling them "antifa terrorists" legitimizes their appropriation, a play that trump wants people to take as it strengthens his control.

(also in general, I'm more of a #NeverTrump conservative, in that I would like small government, but I believe that some socialist ideas could help to make the world a better place. I would rather mothball the F-35 and SLS programs and pointless wars and use that money for healthcare for example.)
@realcaseyrollins dont think this is gonna change any time soon. state is too blue.
@shadowferret

Pretty much. And what's more annoying on twitter is that everyone expects you to say something, even if you have no stake in it.

Like asking Nintendo to make a statement even though they're committed to being apolitical

@djsumdog @realcaseyrollins

@kaniini @realcaseyrollins lol, my original suggestion was going to be for thermal goggles since they don’t get overloaded by bright lights and can work even in day, but I kind of consider both them and light magnification goggles as night vision when used for that purpose.

@realcaseyrollins @kaniini I don’t think they would protect against tear gas, but they do give a huge advantage if the lights go out, hence why US forces like using them overseas. I think Kaniini’s gun preparation is for any attempts by militias or neonazi acceleratioinists going on killing sprees, rather than fighting riot police, although I could be wrong. The former probably wouldn’t be using tear gas as much as the latter.
