There's a certain artist that still owes me a big commission after a year and half. I'm at the point where I feel my art is decent enough that I don't even need his commission anymore either. I don't even want to use it because he has been such a headache to deal with. Do I even want to promote a person like this?

Guy keeps fucking off for months/weeks without working on it. Keeps popping back up when I confront him about it and says that he got depressed again and can't work on anything. Don't know how this guy even lives or hopes to make a living off art if he can't get anything done. He can't even work on the shit he keeps piling on from other clients. I feel at this point, he's better off filing disability from his depression if his country even offers it. He seems to be well enough to keep playing Overwatch and Minecraft though instead of working, since I have him added on Discord.

This is extremely frustrating and he's actually so close to getting it done. But he shades like 1 pixel and then shows me the "progress". Since he barely shades anything, of course it's taking so long. If he just shades the damn thing and adds the background I requested, then he would be done. He definitely doesn't want to work on it anymore but he keeps insisting he wants to finish it to "add to his portfolio". I think he has his work ethic to worry about more than his portfolio at this point.

Some of these guys have no issue taking money and spending it then never finishing the work they owe. This isn't the first artist that does this to me either but certainly the worst one so far. With the others, at least I have been able to get my money back or they finish just right before the buyer protection runs out. Of course I don't commission them ever again after.

This is actually one of the reasons I started to do my own art now. I'm tired of dealing with people like this. I already had the foundation to get started because I've been drawing most of my life. I just need to refine my skills at lot.

If you're wondering why I have even let it get to this point and you're thinking I'm retarded, then you are correct! I absolutely can't justify not putting my foot down on this. I won't let something like this occur again for sure. I'm too forgiving sometimes and it bites me in the ass.

Hell, I struggle with completing art too but the difference is I'm not getting paid for it and it's not my full time job either. This is why I won't ever do commissions and my inability to work on it is due to physical health issues, too. I know depression is also crippling but then I feel the guy shouldn't be handling money at this point.

I feel my patience is at its limit but I'm in a shitty situation where the commission is SO CLOSE to done and asking for a refund feels pointless after this much work is done. It's a very lovely commission of my OCs! I'd rather just have it, honestly.

I actually really love Shrek 1&2. There's something about these movies that always makes it feel like I'm watching them for the first time. I feel the pacing for it is just perfect. Each part of the movie doesn't feel rushed and it's a good time. Though I still think the original is better than the sequel.

I haven't bothered to watch the rest because I heard they sucked and it was just milking the franchise at that point.

More people need to denounce this bullshit and it has to come from within, not just from the outside. This current political climate does affect me the most in this situation, although I don't think we are going to see gays being thrown off buildings like in other countries once people have had enough of this shit. A lot of the agitators are grifters themselves that profit from pushing this asinine and they value their pockets more than painting an entire group of humans in bad light or even the wellbeing of children.

@beardalaxy I fully expect to get banned on stream. But yup, I won't spend on JP because none of my frens are going to play there. I'm basically the only one heavily looking forward to the game to the point of becoming rabid. I'm just going on there to dick around a few days until I get banned and mostly want to feel the combat first hand, too.

The pricing for the Pass seems reasonable to me for 60 days but I also don't know what other MMOs are pricing it as currently. I only have BnS for reference and their shit is $35 for only 1 month or so and this doesn't include the other awful P2W shit that gets pushed every month on rotation. I probably have one of the worst monetization models as reference, so the BP Pass seems extremely good to me as long as there's no over the top P2W shit in there.

I haven't downloaded Blue Protocol yet and I'm definitely not feeling too in the mood to play another MMO currently but I'll try to stream it when it goes live in JP next Wednesday. I'm just busy with my doll stuff currently and trying to improve my art. Was hoping for a July release tbh.

It seems to be around 4,500 yen for the highest tier and lasts 60 days. This is around $30. I wonder what the West pricing will look like. My concern is how a F2P would go about getting this and what's actually in it. There is also a free version of the Battle Pass too.
I can pay for it but thinking about my poorfag frens ofc.

There are also time trial rankings. If they keep the P2W down and allow no lifers to at least achieve the same gear as wallet warriors, then I look forward to it. Whale slaying is my specialty. Until the P2W becomes unreasonable ofc.

New class was announced: A lancer. Between the Heavy Smasher and now this one, it's what I'm looking to play unless my group of frens lacks a range. I really don't like the two range classes in this game but may ultimately be forced to play one. They really gotta give a 3rd range option, preferably a dark caster of sorts like a warlock or wizard. Generic mage and archer ain't doing it for me!

@beardalaxy I will have to look through those at some point! I used to watch Joel a lot many years ago and he definitely inspired me to start streaming. I could never be as funny as he is or have that wonderful contagious laugh though. Man is truly a gem.
