@Orakel @thenewoil I don't know about Tik Tok. Once I heard about the app and found it was based in China, I avoided it like the flu.

@Simpadoo @Orakel @thenewoil Thoughts on a fedi tiktok alt? Might as well make one since there's PeerTube, PixelFed, FunkWhale... plus young people would probably migrate and learn about the Fediverse.
@neomuttt3 @Orakel @thenewoil A non-globohomo video app is always a good thing. The last one I knew about was Gab TV and it had some good stuff but it was killed by Torba the Grifter.

@judgedread @Orakel @Simpadoo @neomuttt3 I think the "boomers" are a lost cause but the younger right-wingers might be open to the Fediverse. We really need to get people like Styxhexenhammer on. Just don't show them any Mastodon instances otherwise the will get the wrong idea.

Zoomers are the most important demographic right now. They are young enough to care about learning the ways of the Fediverse. Boomers are a lost cause. The "platform" mentality is just too deeply ingrained.
But if we plant the seed from early on, we can eradicate Twitter's de facto platform status. I truely believe this is possible, but work must be done. This should be a top priority for anyone who cares about the future of their children IMHO.
