@matana @coolboymew I remember back in elementary school, this was the case for playing games on the bus. It was okay at first because you are obviously not learning anything but there were then issues about lost, stolen, and damaged portables/cartridges so our school district had to ban them. Also, this was back when the original DS was relevant, so along with the ridiculously small cartridges, apparently some school board member was aware of PictoChat and there were concerns of students using it for communicating with strangers among other dangerous things despite PictoChat being local only.

I remember even Nintendo urging users not to put personal information in nicknames and signatures however. But that Pictochat thing was useless. The only practical use I found for it was communicated with people on the other side of the school bus.
