@ChristiJunior @matrix @xianc78 Nintendo's games look good for Nintendo consoles. But these people don't even seem to believe in anti-aliasing. Not even games like Odyssey have it. Now, I don't mind that, having grown up with shit computers that couldn't use AA without rendering the game unplayable; but that's just true about Nintendo's games.

I tried looking for Ruby screenshots but I only keep getting "Omega Ruby" and it seems to be a remake for 3DS.

@rasterman @matrix @ChristiJunior@neckbeard.xyz Pretty ironic given that the N64 was the first major home console to feature anti-aliasing (it's partly what allowed smother graphics compared to the PS1) but anti-aliasing is increasingly becoming obsolete as pixel density increases.

@xianc78 @matrix @ChristiJunior Interesting article. I have never seen a retina display, so I don't know how magical it is.

That being said, I'm still seeing jagged edges on Nintendo-made games for the Swtich past 2020 and that article is from 2012. I don't know if the Japs know about this technology.
