@beardalaxy @einziggurat @ArdanianRight IIRC, the Super Mario 64 decomp was done by creating a disassembly and writing equivalent C code by hand. Naturally, there will be differences from the decomp and Nintendo's official source code.

@xianc78 @beardalaxy @ArdanianRight I thought sm64 got taken down. Grey area or not disassembled source trees are taken down by MS immediately on receiving a DMCA even when the DMCA is questionable.

@einziggurat @ArdanianRight @beardalaxy It got taken down because at first, they were distributing pre-compiled binaries. Plus, the original decomp for the N64 version is still up on GitHub.

@xianc78 @ArdanianRight @beardalaxy still think GitHub is a problem because they just action takedowns instead of giving latitude to arbitrate them.
