@ChristiJunior@neckbeard.xyz @coolboymew Shame because I want to see more competition especially in Japan.
@coolboymew @ChristiJunior@neckbeard.xyz I just miss having different consoles with vastly different libraries. Everything feels the same now except for Nintendo.
And there is a lot of stuff that I don't like about Nintendo even if they are the least bad manufacturer. I wish Japan would embrace PC gaming more but that doesn't look like it's happening anytime soon.
@coolboymew @ChristiJunior@neckbeard.xyz My only problem is that these Japanese PC ports end up being Windows 10 exclusive. Linux gaming is probably unheard of there.

Think the Steamdeck will make an impact over there?
@maxtepafray @ChristiJunior@neckbeard.xyz @coolboymew Maybe as a way to play VNs and PSO2 on to go.
@coolboymew @xianc78 @ChristiJunior
Did hear some good news on that actually.
With Valve trying to push the Steamdeck, they’ve apparently been in talks with various AAAs to get their anti-cheats playing nice with Proton.
@coolboymew @ChristiJunior @xianc78
Here’s hoping this lights a fire under Valve to push forward. From what I understand, the Steamdeck is a loss leader like most consoles. So it sounds like they’re pushing far harder than with Steam Machines.
I’d also be curious if faking kernel access is possible.
@xianc78 @ChristiJunior @coolboymew
Wouldn’t be a bad entry point if Proton plays nice with the library.
Seems like many Japanese companies have been starting to take PC far more seriously as of late. I wonder if having a target pc build might help things along.
Also the general homogenization was inevitable due to rising development cost and the fact that they're still attempting to make fucking AAA games (Microsoft wants AAAA games, *gulp*...). Even Sony is starting to put their shit on PC
