How can a VM language be a replacement for C?
@lanodan @lorabe @federicomena I don't think you can write an OS kernel in Java.
Heck, mobile applications have been written in Java for decades (most feature phones were already using Java) while I wouldn't be surprised to learn that embedded/mobile applications was were C was almost irreplaceable in the past.
Sure, the kernel and bare-embedded stuff is where C is the most irreplaceable at but that's not the only thing C allows or allowed.
