@noyoushutthefuckupdad @Fullmetal4456 @coolboymew I also remember the OpenPandora. I always wanted one because it supported Pygame so I could port my Python games over there just so I can have my games running on a console/handheld.

It's successor the Pyra is still in development and is going to be even more outdated.

Holy shit I remember that one. It's around GNU Hurd leves of Never-Ever (tm). Sadly because it's basically everything I want from a handheld: DS-like screen you flip open, no touch-screen fuckery, built-in game controller, pretty neat IO, running Gahnoo Loonix, etc.
The only thing it's lacking is actually being completed. fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck.

@kerosene @Fullmetal4456 @coolboymew @noyoushutthefuckupdad Just get a GPD Win handheld and install Linux on it, if you don't mind giving money to the Chinese.

@xianc78 @kerosene @Fullmetal4456 @coolboymew I have a friend who bought the newest $1200 GPD model just before the Steam Deck started taking pre-orders. And he can't cancel it.

I'd totally get a deck if I travelled a lot. Sadly I don't leave my house much so I feel lke the deck is a product that doesn't fit my niche.

@noyoushutthefuckupdad @kerosene @Fullmetal4456 @coolboymew Does the Steam Deck have anything over the GPD handhelds other than not being made by the Chinese?
