>I really wish star fox wasn't Nintendo's "fuck around and see what works" series because it really doesn't have that much of an identity.
It started out as a tech-demo to show off how the Super-FX chip can render 3D-polygons. Unfortunately, that means it IS Nintendo's "fuck around and see what works" series.
>Command was just kind of empty, the online play sucked because of cheating and people disconnecting all the time.
I could never find any players online with that game. And yeah Nintendo Wi-Fi on the DS was nothing but ActionReplay cheaters. To put that in perspective I never won a single online match in Mario Kart DS. Though it was my first online gaming experience so I do have some nostalgia for it.
>Except maybe the F-zero ending for a star fox racing spin off, but I'm partial to racing games so idk if that's a popular opinion or not.
There is really no point as Nintendo already has F-Zero and has been neglecting that series for almost two decades now. F-Zero fans would be pissed as they will see it as an excuse for Nintendo not to release a new F-Zero game (they already see Mario Kart 8 as this).
>A lot of people talk about wanting Star Fox to be more open world or a bit more like Rogue Squadron
That's the only new thing I can see them bringing to the table outside of some new gimmicky control scheme. I mean if Nintendo had me create a new Star Fox game, that's probably what I do. (I may have a couple of on-rails levels though) When I played both 64 and Command, I feel like that the all-range levels could have some more potential.
>Star Fox Event Horizon
I looked it up out of curiosity and OH MY GOD, WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS KIND OF ARTWORK!!! THIS IS HIDEOUS AND NEEDS TO DIE IN A FIRE!!!
