@beardalaxy @wildgoose yeah and people can be very naive. the 'conspiracy theorist' branding has been very effective.
@beardalaxy @wildgoose i think this goes back to old problems in africa where people would raise millions to send food packets or something and then the warlords would just show up and waylay it from the NGOs. at least before HRC et all started just doing fake fundraisers to steal outright. leads to really weird problems of having to be like "are you actually hiring a PMC to make sure the food bricks show up in the village?
