The same people who are virtue signaling for Ukraine would probably react negatively if Texas were to secede from the union.
@xianc78 They bitch about democracy being subverted by questioning election integrity while also claiming that when they lost it was because Vladimir Putin personally rigged the 2016 election.

Chechnya tried to secede from Russia which resulted in about eight years of wars. Cities were destroyed, radical movements emerged, acts of terror all over. Luckily they managed to calm things down somewhat and massive efforts went into rebuilding and otherwise stabilizing the region. It is still a powder keg.
LNR/DNR (Donbass) tried to secede from Ukraine. Again eight years of war there which also ignited this one.
