The only cooking appliance you ever need is a microwave. Seriously, it isn't just for reheating leftovers or cooking TV meals. I personally use it for cooking steaks, baking all sorts of stuff, and using it for things that normal people use it.

@Tadano Just take a raw steak (after thawing it and seasoning it), wrap it in a paper towel, stick it in the microwave, cook it for 3.5 minutes, flip it, then cook it for another 3.5 minutes.

@xianc78 @Tadano >frozen steaks cooked in a microwave
Have you ever played Omori? This is literally the main character's favorite meal.

@galena @Tadano Steaks actually cooked in a microwave or just leftover steaks?

@xianc78 @Tadano Not sure. Game doesn't specify whether or not it's cooked beforehand or just reheated, most of the fandom interprets it as microwave cooked because it's referred to as "Microwaved Steak" and because that's funnier
@xianc78 @Tadano mangled that sentence, meant "cooked in the microwave or beforehand and reheated"

@Tadano I can always go to a local gas station with a microwave and cook a steak there. That's technically not a kitchen.

I dunno if you're trying to astral project to Hyperborea or give yourself the most painful intestinal cleansing possible :marisa:

@xianc78 protip, put wet paper towels on meat when you reheat it so it doesn't get dried the fuck out

@beardalaxy I'm talking about actually cooking meat in the microwave (it does work).

@xianc78 @beardalaxy @xianc78 @beardalaxy If electric power goes out, microwaves are useless. A gas stove is better. It's what I used when there was that cold, icy power outage in Texas a while back.
