@jhclouse @KryptoBlok Sure, but I feel like there is a reason why the government is afraid of private or even personal space travel, even if it's just exploring near-Earth objects like the moon (SpaceX doesn't count; it's government funded). Space agencies DO fake a lot of shit (it's the reason why people who point out NASA fakes are lumped in with flat-earthers). Seriously, anyone who launches anything to the moon is asked by the US government not to go anywhere near the alleged moon landing sites.
@KryptoBlok @xianc78 Sorry for the late reply. I don’t think they’re afraid of it. They’re just bureaucrats. And bureaucrats derive their life force from consuming freedom. It doesn’t even matter what the subject is.
They didn’t really care about Scaled Composites’ SpaceShipOne. But it was small potatoes and not worth the effort. Space X is a vendor for payload launches, both for governments and businesses. That’s worth influencing, just like Microsoft or other vendors.
