Why are women so fucking judgemental, especially when it comes to men trying to live differently? I've notice that men actually seem to be more open-minded to alternate lifestyles then women are, except when it comes to "alternative lifestyles" that are glorified by the mainstream like veganism.

It doesn't just apply to wives/girlfriends even just random women would criticize how a man chooses to live if it is different from everyone else. Some of my male family members who are currently living alone are scolded by female visitors for owning or not owning certain things or having certain things in certain places, such as forgoing a dish washer and just using the sink. Men don't seem to care, even if it's an unconventional way to live. Women always try to either get them to stop or ask among themselves, "how is he able to live like this".

It is ALWAYS female peers who negatively judge me and my lifestyle. My male peers are a lot more open minded if I make lifestyle choices that are not mainstream. Even if they are "normies" (I really hate that term, but that's a whole other rant) they don't seem to care if I choose not to have any subscriptions for streaming services or that I don't like to use a smartphone for everything.

Recently, my sister who had a resume generator program that came with her computer, decided to create resumes for us to help us all stand out. Yet I insisted that I use the HTML resume that I created because I can easily edit it and convert it to different formats. Hers was in PDF format and had to be edited in a paint program. It looks nicer, but I don't need to make mine look nice given that most resumes are just black text on white backgrounds anyway. I can easily decorate mine using CSS and have it look like a page from an early 2000s website. Of course, she doesn't understand this at all. She says that mine looks "terrible and unprofessional" and that I'm making things harder for myself by doing mine in HTML, despite me having a CS degree and understanding the advantages of using a markup language to write documents. Other female family members tended to agree, but men tend to understand how difficult it is to edit PDFs.

Is this why women generally hate the principle of "live and let live" or only support it if it benefits them? Is this also the reason why hate the MGTOW movement (even though I have some unrelated gripes with that movement too)?

@xianc78 Women are more sensible towards the mere appearance of things and how they make people feel.

My mother said her entire life that the reason my father couldn't get a better job was that despite being an Engineer he always dressed like a nobody, people looked at him and instantly dismissed him.

Many recruiters nowadays are Women, they will judge you merely on the appearance of your CV, they are HR professionals, they don't know anything about computer science either.

As a curiosity, when you send your CV to someone via email, you do convert to something else, right ?

@Aviz

I convert it to PDF because that's what they usually accept. I don't think many people know that you can view webpages downloaded to your hard-drive offline.

@xianc78 I edit it in a .docx and convert it to PDF myself, why don't you try convincing your sister to do that instead ?

Surely using Microsoft Office is not "out there" for her, right ?

@Aviz She had a free program dedicated to making resumes that was preinstalled on her laptop. The program is designed to make resumes that stand out (looking like webpages instead of black text on white paper), but only outputs to PDF.

@peemasons Same old, cooking in the summer heat now that's almost December.
@Aviz oh yeah almost forgot you’re bazillion
@xianc78 women are less empathetic and rational than men. I know it sounds extreme to many, but they are not equal to us. I dont think this is something we should hold against them its just the way they are.
@BigTony @xianc78 Men generally have a lot more emotional depth and are able to develop much more substantive bonds than women.

@xianc78
Well, I agree with your definition, but that's the entire point of the term. It is 100 percent context dependent.
