If there is anything to take away from this situation is that you shouldn't even make "joke fedposts", no matter how confident you feel about your OPSEC.

@RustyCrab @xianc78 but yea all a civilian can do with the info is find out if my car came with a sunroof. the feds on the other hand have access to the dmv databases that the pd has access to. if i DIDNT fedpost, my license plate number wouldnt really do anything
@creamqueen @RustyCrab @xianc78 that's assuming the DMV doesn't have a massive leak and now suddenly all this previously benign information becomes data points to pivot off from.
