Why do none of the Greek God of War games have functional New Game plus (except Ascension, the one thing that game did right)?
GoW 1 and 3 don't have it at all (including the remaster of 3), and GoW 2 has a fucked up version that only lets you replay with all your stuff on difficulties you've already beaten.
Devil May Cry 1 had the perfect New Game Plus system figured out in 2001, GoW 1 came out 4 years later, there's no excuse.
@xianc78 I mean... maybe?
But what's GoW2's excuse then? Maybe having things like The Blade of Olympus and Maxed Magic created balancing problems with the higher difficulties (Made them too easy)?
But even that I don't buy, just rebalance the numbers to accommodate, or just say fuck it and let me have fun.
And I really don't get why they didn't add that in the GoW3 Remaster, that just came out a few years ago.
It's a nit-pick yeah, but... It irks me. I am irked.

@Indigo Maybe time constraints. You also have to debug and find the right balance.

@xianc78 Very possible... But I still don't think that flies for GoW3, especially not the Remastered version.
It's just bizarre to me because I consider NG+ to be near a crucial component of the spectacle fighter genera, to have it missing in one of the games that established that genera is... odd. :02shrug:

@Indigo You'd expect the same for Zelda since the first game included a second quest, but most of the games don't have one.

Lucky for me though, it's something that I won't have to worry about as a gamedev because I plan on making roguelike elements a staple for my games for here on out.
