I just need to accept that the game I'm currently working on will be heavily flawed. There will be balancing issues. People will most likely find exploits. I may have been programming games for over a decade, but I never had the time to actually work on something this big and be close to finishing it.

@beardalaxy I just don't feel like my game programming skills have improved at all since high school. I mean, I learned design patterns among other things during college, but I feel like I should be making my dream game now.

@beardalaxy I was actually hoping to release it commercially. It would be extremely dirt cheap like a dollar, but the game being open-source means that you could get it for free elsewhere. But I don't know if the game is even worth a dollar, even if paying is optional.

@xianc78 you could always put it up on itch and then let people pay what they want. something like that.

@beardalaxy Charging people for the original copy while allowing people to redistribute it guarantees that at least some people will pay for it.

@beardalaxy I also wonder if this game even meets itch standards, and I don't mean about their content guidelines. It feels like this game could've been on YoYoGames if it was made in GameMaker back in the late 2000s.

@xianc78 nah man literal viruses get uploaded to itch all the time lol they'll allow anything there.

@xianc78 your game looks better than a LOT of shlop i've seen there
