So let's see here:
>Marginally better graphics
>Games that are enhanced with the Switch 2, but you have to pay extra for the enhancements
>Only compatible with certain microSD cards
>A Mario Kart that allows you to drive in between races
>Even more unnecessary smartphone integration
>PORTS PORTS PORTS
>Deltatroon

The only good things I can say about it are the fact that Nintendo finally added built-in voice chat for their first-party games (not that shitty smartphone app) and the re-releasing of GameCube games.

Funny that when I was watching the Swtich 2 direct, I can clearly tell that the guy on the right with the curly hair was not excited about the thing. He probably agrees with me on this.

@xianc78 hard to be excited about new stuff when its basically the same shit you had

@xianc78 the microSD card thing isn't proprietary or anything, it's just that it needs the card to be faster. there were actually problems when modding games on the switch with this, if you were modding smash back in the day when you had to load the game off the SD card you had to have a really fast one otherwise it would legitimately take like 5 minutes to load a single match.

"marginally better graphics" is a bit of an understatement. we'd be lucky if metroid prime 4 was 1080p30 on the standard switch and actually maintained that, but they're saying switch 2 is going to have 4k60 and 1080p120 modes. if they can actually hit those targets i would say that is a substantial improvement from the original switch. maybe you're thinking that it was marginally better graphics because they just upgraded the handheld screen from 720p to 1080p?

there are actually a lot of games that don't require payment for the enhancements. they're up on the website. i think they probably just wanted to showcase the ones that actually had the most substantial stuff. i'm definitely not paying for GPS navigation in zelda though lmao. the kirby DLC looks fun though i'll probably pick that up. that's a really fun game.

@beardalaxy @xianc78 gps navigation was dlc even in the switch 1 version of the game. they wanted you to buy legendary edition dlc just to have map trails

@icedquinn @xianc78 well that was where you had been, not where you're going xD

@beardalaxy
>i'm definitely not paying for GPS navigation in zelda though lmao

I just realized that it's literally the cut second screen functionality from the Wii U version repackaged as a paid smartphone app.

@xianc78
> A Mario Kart that allows you to drive in between races

like a connecting world? like diddy kong racing?

@bonifartius @xianc78
Seems the entire game is one big map, and each track is a physical location. A grand prix has you drive a race, then drive to the next track, and so on.
@Hephaestic @xianc78 @bonifartius So, like the various Need For Speed Underground/Carbon did where you could select a race from the menu, but you could also explore the map and physically drive your car to races, I guess?
