I'm debating on whether I should even have music in the credits of my game, as I can't compose music myself and I need music that is timed with the credits. There are some works out there that get away with just having silent credits, but that usually signifies someone dying at the end or something like that.

@xianc78 you could have the credits as a separate button on the main menu so they don't need to play at the end. at the end of the game you can just have a good ol' end screen and that's it.

@beardalaxy I already have my credits sequence start with an ending message before scrolling to the actual credits (much like the ending to Zelda 1). It's kind of already too late, unless I want to do a major overhaul to the credits code.

@xianc78 There's the possibility of finding a somewhat fitting short track that is public domain and using that. Maybe pitch-shift or tempo-change to make it more unique
