Military members getting a random $1776 check is fucking retarded. Like... good job for sitting around in a foreign country working out and getting paid for it, here's a little bit of extra money so that you aren't as pissed when you get mobilized for Israel.
If we're going to send that money to anyone it should go to like ICE or something, but the idea that we have to pay extra to people people with public funds who are already being paid with public funds is retarded beyond the positions even existing in the first place.
Does anyone have any sort of good defense for this? It feels like it's a psychological thing to give to government drones for being good boys.
@beardalaxy I hate the whole "veteran" label. Even if you were just cooking in their cafeterias, and only joined because of the current state of the job market or something like that, that label will forever apply to you and society will look at you differently because of it. You will have strangers tell you "thank you for your service" and you got the other side who will treat you like shit for ever working with the military.
