This is so true. It becomes more and more obvious Styx isn't a tech literate and reads what is on the tin-can without really opening or looking further.

To play devil's advocate, its in his interest to remain on the mainstream platforms in order to attract new and/or retain boomer or fellow tech-illiterate boomers.

Just like the trance issues @shebang points out I am convinced he can use some education on both subjects. (The guy lives one district over, so it shouldn't be hard to do this in person..)
