My guess: he was defending himself against the dogs which turn makes the dog's handler go mental on the dude and starts bashing him. Then another cop starts bashing him too. The photos I've seen of the aftermath is him lying on the ground with a big gash on his head.

There are also footage from multiple camera angles of a police officer pushing a protestor into an oncoming police van.

If you look at footage of the protestors from independent or foreign entities you will see its fairly peaceful until the riot police starts fucking with them. Local media call them rioters.

I saw this on a recording of today's anti-government/lockdown protests in The Hague (one that got violently shut down by polic). This warms my heart. 🙂
