In that case, it is kinda extreme definition compared to the fact that standart behavior is the extreme oposite.

I think it is seriously ridiculous to be conserned about extreme mate guarding in a field where usual state is none.

Modern relationships are based aroud the idea of 2 people living their own lives together for long enough to mayyyyyybe have kids.

I don't see how that is a mate-guarding. On contrary, I saw women fight any (even slightest) atempts of men to help the women.
