People unironically tell me, that there is no anti-family propaganca, while walking by this fucking sign.
> What did your biological family bring you?
> Trust issues, self-reliance and bruises
> What I am never going tto do
> Sadness, mental issues, fear, bad memories
Sure.... No anti-family propaganda detected at all....
@LukeAlmighty Depressing this sorta thing exists in Czechia too.
@monoyose
Not oo much, but yes. While I would say, that on the ground level, we were up until Gen Alpha still a healthy society, on the governmental level, our overlords are on a speedrun to suck the most progressive US dick they can find, while on the ground level, gen alpha kids did fucking lost their ability to know what gendewr they are.
So, we might be 20 years behind the progresive shit thanks to the strong atheist core with a near ritualistic alcohol culture, but not even the strongest of foundations can hold society forever.
@LukeAlmighty Yeah isn't Czechia an anomaly in that it began going irreligious in the 1800's?
I remember reading that, but now it seems that this is mostly a 20th century thing possibly due to the communist regime. Contradicts what I read years ago.
@monoyose
Not sure where it's comming from, but still we are at about 78% atheistic nation, and it is in fact a truly unique thing about this nation, that I LOVE.
People do blame it on communism, but I don't think any other country did end up atheistic after commie regime, so there might be more to it. (Maybe a base in religeaous infighting ever since the Hussite Warriors?)
Damn... They even have a Muslim infection in Russia right now.
@LukeAlmighty What makes you think the atheist culture protects you from woke stuff? Usually people would say the opposite. I'm not disagreeing here it's just an atypical opinion.
@monoyose
I was in a christian primary school. I saw the culture and values christians hold holy. And they were the most woke people I have ever meet in my life. The forgiveness and openess to be abused went hand in hand with reality denial. All things, that were a total requirement for wokeness to spread.
Meanwhile, the atheist core of the country holds to the core values, that hold the society together. They have no reason to just accept someone's pronouns and the "born in a wrong body" bullshit. As long, as your faithless mind can seek truth and accept the world "as it is", then wokeness has no place in it.
@monsterislandcolonizer @LukeAlmighty @monoyose
You're comparing American atheist culture with atheist cultures of other nations. It's not gonna manifest in the same way.
The prime reason why I opposed woke culture since back when we were still talking about "social justice", "intersectional feminism" or just plain "feminazis" is because becoming an atheist made me recognize wokeness was a cult, a non-theistic religion. So atheism born out of actual rationality, instead of some kind of edgy "I'm gonna be rebellious against Christianity" can protect you from the woke mind virus, because you learn to see the patterns repeating.
And even in America, I've even seen both kinds of atheists. I've seen atheists who were obsessed with Christianity and payed no attention to Islam (because their atheism was not born from opposing religions and cults, but because some Christian sect pissed them off) that became woke, and I've seen atheists that spent time denouncing Islam or other religions too, that now oppose wokeness to various degrees.
