ellie doesn't look AS fucked up as she did in last of us part 2's flashback scene but she does still look fucked up. is this supposed to be an upgrade?!

i'm still a firm believer that the rendering in general just doesn't look as good either. it's so soft and blurry, you see like no detail. the texture/modeling of ellie's shirt in particular looks like ass.

kind of cool that the game is coming to PC so i HOPE AND PRAY that modders can do something here. given the fact that there are already pretty extensive modding tools for both games on PS3 and PS4 i wouldn't be surprised if the PC version will be able to do that as well.

@LukeAlmighty I wouldn't say it's necessarily a "mess" but it just looks way more simplified and less sharp. The tone is changed quite a bit.

This is a problem with games these days in general, like I said, I wish I could just use MSAA instead of all this temporal and post-process stuff. I wish more games had built-in internal resolution scalers too.

But beyond that, they definitely removed detail from a lot of places in the textures and stuff. Kind of a shame. The really weird part is her scar... Looks more like a cut in the remake.

@beardalaxy For me, the biggest turnoff is dithering shadows. Repeating textures are bad? How about repeating 8*8px textures, that don't even move with your head, and stay glued on display?

@LukeAlmighty reflections without using RT have become kind of shitty in a lot of things too. There's either too much noise in them or they're all tied to the camera instead of the world.
