I gotta watch the video if I get a honorable mention

He mentions my arguments but doesn't show my tweets :feelsbadman:

There is a point buried in this video, but it is overshadowed by him being butthurt.

There are active efforts to primarily demasculinize men and secondarily masculinize women. We have seen these quite extensively in Hollywood and AAA in the last I guess 8-10 years with the strong female character. It is also quite visible in many lawsuits, articles and allegation regarding sexual harassment and "toxic" behavior, where banter (big component of male bonding) or simple invitation to dinner are portrayed as behaviors that ought to be eliminated.

This isn't an effort at role reversal like AA claims. It is an effort to equalize, remove differences and a part of Marcuse's biological foundation for socialism from his essay on liberation, where people are indoctrinated and eventually evolved into desiring socialism. We live in the world of Herbert Marcuse.

AA is also an absolute butthurt retard by overanalyzing and inserting meaning into replies. Where he says that Nick wants to be an schoolgirl with a penis. No. That's not how the internet works. Nick saw a picture of an attractive woman, maybe said "Nice" in his head and then went into his reaction folder with the thought of "What's a funny reaction that will get me likes". There is no hidden meaning. Just like when I type ROFL, I maybe exhaled more strongly, I'm not rolling on the floor laughing or even desire to do so.

His blaming of anime as being part of the problem is also unfounded: youtu.be/f2prtR2ZNIk

Also his mischaracterisation of liberalism is annoying. Nothing in liberalism means not caring. It just gives you the freedom to care about things you find important.

And his smugness and desire to be a tyrannical dictator buries any legitimacy or relevancy his videos have.

@matrix this shit is schizo tier. No substantial amount of people is being demasculinized or defeminized. Do these people exist in the real world?

@welt
Big budget Hollywood movies and AAA games, lawsuits at major corporations, or the fucking US military ad, that seems substantial effort.
I don't know how well it works, but the effort IS substantial. However here's an example: when I was born, you would basically never see the father on maternity leave or alone taking care of the child, now 20 or so years later it's not an uncommon sight.

@matrix effort, but day to day these things only affect you if you're constantly giving it your attention. It has basically no impact on my life and I'm sure for the vast majority of people.

Most parents both work, a lot of which are divorced. At least from what I see. I don't understand how dads watching kids is really a thing that matters on its own.
@matrix I don't think watching a kid is somehow demasculinizing either.

@welt
Maternity leave is when the parent doesn't work and it's straight after birth. It doesn't make much sense for the father to be the primary care taker of a >=1 year old when the mother is available.
It is emasculating because you have to depend on a woman, even though you wouldn't need to.

@matrix I know what maternity leave is. And that's kind of a moot point because you'd be depending on a women either way (for your time or for income). I don't view it as demasculizing regardless.

@welt
I don't think that's the same because in that case your survival is dependent on the women, while when you are working it is not.

@matrix You have to care for a child -> you can't work -> no income -> no food on the table -> you die

@welt
The scenario you present is when a woman isn't available which is rare, especially now with modern medicine.

@welt
Lawsuits or accusations have an effect when you are on the receiving end, but I can't give you a number how common is stuff like that.

Yeah, I'm not as pessimistic as Academic Agent. People gravitate towards their natural roles and it's impossible to fully overwrite them.
Sadly media will be shit for a long time.

@matrix maybe because the toxic things are actually toxic. The most recent one that comes to mind is Activision-Blizzard. I think it speaks for itself.

@welt
The Blizzard lawsuit is one of the ones I had in mind, 90% of it is bullshit. The only serious stuff is undoing women's bras, showing up at work drunk and the nudes of the dead coworker.

@matrix and regardless, doesn't affect you. Unless you've been sued or something, which is unlikely for the vast majority of people.

@welt
I dunno. I think there's a danger of getting in hot water when working at a larger company.

@matrix @welt
It comes with the territory. But I would still advise to risk it, since the ROI is huge.

@welt @matrix this world where both parents have to work is itself destructive and unnecessary. mothers' only career should be "mother". this arrangement worked for thousands of years of human history until it was tampered with by 20th century feminism.

@matrix @welt
+ I would add entire education system including the kindergarden, but what do I know...
