@matrix saints row 4 was pretty good in my opinion, it was fun and even more sandboxy than 3, albeit rehashing existing content.

@hj definitely, it was a lazy rehash but I've enjoyed just running around causing mayhem with the super powers quite a lot

@matrix and IIRC all the new content was mostly in separate new locations - like the whole story with aliens and stuff even if it was mostly linear/corridor-like.

I still think that Saints Row 3 managed to make a better GTA than GTA itself ever did, like they get it, they get why people play GTA, Saints Row 4 made it even better. Probably could have been an update/dlc to SS3 but whatever, i like it more.

@hj I don't think Saints Row did GTA better, just different. Out of the Saints Row games I probably like 3 the most and SR4 should have been a SR3 expansion.

@matrix GTAs focus on taking itself too seriously with "real gangsta shit" stories, while saints row is mostly about "imma cheat to give me a tank and a rocket launcher and go apeshit" which is what people do in GTA
@hj @matrix SR3 was good but the devs did a really dumb move to write Johnny Gat out of it. The game itself was solid.
Now SR4 in my opinion is THE best super hero game. Even if you compare it to established capeshit like Batman and Spiderman.

@matrix yeah it ruined the series, so the rest of it will likely be dogshit forever.

I'm just hoping for sleeping dogs 2 but that would probably be shit too knowing squenix.
