@matrix it peaked and then began to rise alongside emo culture. Emo culture went away but things never got any better after that.

@beardalaxy @matrix be glad you don't know about 13 reasons why. Plenty of npcs who were tablet/tv parented offed themselves afterwards.

It was such an infohazard that they censored it (but I am sure that torrent sites have it uncut).

@beardalaxy @matrix @PurpCat @beardalaxy @matrix
I mean if I payed for Netflix I would kill myself too, let alone watching it
@PurpCat @beardalaxy @matrix Crazy that Millennials are still around. An entire generation grew up literally being told to kill themselves.
@beardalaxy @matrix YOUR SLANDEROUS LIES HAVE BEEN NOTED CONSIDER YOURSELF PLACED ON THE UNDESIREABLES LIST IN THE INEVITABLE FUTURE EMOGFNOSTATE
@matrix There honestly might be something to that
@matrix Most consider the 90s the Golden Era for gaming personally which I think is true but I also consider the 2000s to the mid 2010s the silver age of gaming and everything past that the bronze age of gaming
@LordMordred @matrix I think the current age should be called the poo age of gaming. ESG and feminazis have devastated gaming and AAA games are released unfinished and full of hideous caricatures of humanity
@matrix Remember what they've done, every feminist game designer making grotesque characters, every poorly written story made to preach inclusion, every soulless half finish cash grab. They have blood on their hands, they must pay.
@deVoid @matrix The doomsday people who believed the end of the world was coming in 2012 were right, but not in the way they thought.

@matrix The slope turns upward just as smartphones became available. The data here says that Internet on a PC at home, and engaging video games, are good for mental health (with the possible exception of Columbine, but they were already nuts.).

Social media on smartphones is bad for mental health. There is a pile of data to support that conclusion.

@matrix
>The period where freedom of speech was a thing and corporation control was the less was also the less alienating.
>2012 spike coincides with the smartphone flood and the end of occupy wallstreet
:gnujihad:
@matrix turns out when your forms of escapism are really good life is more bearable. shocking
@merchantHelios @matrix this coincides with the wokeshitification of video gaming tbh. suicides tick up right after gamergate.....
@graf @merchantHelios @matrix 2012 was the reelection of king nigger and basically all the bad shit started in term 2. Fag shit in 2015 isis was going nuts from 2013-2016, migrant crisis, the economy also never recovered from 2008, "learn to code", Gamer gate, the beginnings of me too with the BMT rape scandal and a slew of title 9 struggle sessions where men were booted from colleges. Thanks obama.
@graf @merchantHelios @matrix O how could i forget saint trayvon and king nigger saying that the little shit looked just like his keeedddd if he had a son.
@Boomerman @graf @merchantHelios @matrix Something definitely changed with the vidya industry, either because of policy or they ran out of steam
@graf @ForbiddenDreamer @mmmfeet @Boomerman @merchantHelios @matrix Which was the one that took place in Africa? I really liked that one. the grassfires were cool.
@mmmfeet @matrix @Boomerman @graf @merchantHelios As far as I'm concerned the Japanese are the only ones still making any worthwhile media. The West is totally spiritually dead, certainly with respect to anyone allowed access to mainstream media channels.
@ArdainianRight @matrix @Boomerman @graf @merchantHelios I still can't help but obsess over the movie I just watched, Maquia: When The Promised Flower Blooms. It was hauntingly beautiful. It was only released about 2 or 3 years ago, you would *never* see something like that made in the West. Everything from our neck of the woods has become so *ugly.*
@mmmfeet @Boomerman @graf @merchantHelios @matrix Re-releases of those games?

"It's what people want. People don't want more games like those, they want those same games, re released."
@mmmfeet @graf @merchantHelios @matrix 2004 was the heart of the GWOT explains the bump. 2004 was a kino year in gaming one of the best.
@Boomerman @graf @merchantHelios @matrix I've always thought similarly, jews and their jannies held back from destroying vidya when White men were demolishing every middle eastern country that opposed Israel. After 2012 it became clear that everyone but Iran was either neutralized or contained, and that's when they started shitting up the industry
@D-Droid @mmmfeet @graf @merchantHelios @matrix >youll never fire up the gamecube for some splitscreen burnout and a few rounds of def jam again.
Rougue squadron was my GameCube jam. Followed by super smash bros
@mmmfeet @Boomerman @graf @merchantHelios @matrix 4swords adventure is the only good 4swords game, Half life 2 has some good moments, MGS3 is one of the best in the series, Paper Mario Thousand Year Door is one of the most beloved in Paper mario, prince of persia was probably a good one, sly cooper is decent, Vampyr the masquerade is pretty good, Super Mario 64 DS is debateably the best version.... not sure if the list goes on, but there is a list of atleast a few bangers on specifically 2004

What good game even came out this year?

The hits of 2003

@mmmfeet @matrix @Boomerman @graf @merchantHelios
Hot damn, that year alone made up some of my favorite games as a kid. Both Jak 3 and Ratchet and Clank Up Your Arsenal alone I sunk soooo much time in.
