@ferrarilegends it's really common for some reason to see Arabs as lazy and not wanting to work (in fairness, nobody wants to work, honestly) but the harsh fact is that they're strongly protective of the "life" in "work life balance". They find it really strange that White people have been duped into working more than 40hrs a week and then treating it as a flex. @n8
@ferrarilegends Funny enough a buddy of mine agreed with this. "sure we were poor as shit but at least we were experiencing a life more than 2 days every week or so, and then 10 years before we die."
Fuck me that's brutal.
@n8
@ferrarilegends see, I used to think it was laziness, now I realize it's just giving a shit about the quality of your life. @n8
@ferrarilegends It's also worth noting how annoyingly narrow the definition of family is in the USA. In the Middle East and Asia "family" is broad as fuck. In the USA they have to preface with "extended family" if it's not your immediate family which is dumb. @n8
@ferrarilegends I don't really want kids of my own, it's not something I feel right about. *However* you bet your ass I'll be the cool uncle with a good apartment and cool stuff to do. @n8
@Rhodesian_YuKari With the housing market as fucked as it is, this may become something America has to deal with. It's also why my buddy was shocked that my parents charge me rent for living at home (housing market is fucked here, rental market even worse)
"yeah so they're charging me rent?"
"White people do that?"
@ferrarilegends @n8
@Rhodesian_YuKari I just want a place that's comfy for my future husband and I. It's really simple yet for some fucking reason the Jews decide I can't have that. I'm not a difficult man to please, I just want to be comfortable. It's why I hate the boomer "money can't buy happiness" phrase.
I don't want a solid gold Ducati, I want a stable job where I can support myself and my partner on a reasonable work life balance and live a decently normal life.
@ferrarilegends @n8
@ferrarilegends I had to explain to someone that this is why "rich people houses" are traditionally very huge. You had your family, probably your spouse's family as well. If you needed them, servants and maybe their families. So you had a shit ton of people and a 5 bedroom house won't cut it.
People are mocking young Americans for living at home but to Southern Europeans, most Asians and Arabs that's completely normal. The issue isn't that we're "childish" the economy just fucking sucks.
@n8
@cosmo I hate to sound like a fucking tree hugging faggot but in terms of environmental responsibility, all of this housing develop is unsustianable. @ArdanianRight @ferrarilegends @n8
@cosmo I'm not the biggest fan of being out in nature most of the year (allergies are hell) but I'll fight like mad to keep it pretty. I like parks and nature and all that pretty shit. The fact that giving a shit about the environment is political is a disgrace — we don't own this planet, we borrow it from future generations. @ArdanianRight @ferrarilegends @n8
@ArdanianRight You're correct and I hate it. @cosmo @ferrarilegends @n8
@wgiwf they don't want to do anything to help the environment that isn't Instagramable or trendy. It's funny the people who always the most willing to do things like use re-usable bags, avoid plastic, etc. aren't the ones who are lefties, they're usually hunters/farmers, etc. The people I support. @ArdanianRight @cosmo @ferrarilegends @n8
@wgiwf I always seem to notice how most of the "environmental regulations" are just greenwashed "fuck poor White people." That's not right. @ArdanianRight @cosmo @ferrarilegends @n8
@cosmo If the housing market collapses (again) then I REALLY won't be able to rent an apartment or buy a house. @ArdanianRight @ferrarilegends @n8 @wgiwf
@ArdanianRight Yes. I'm 98% sure they've infested this area. It's not because I don't want to move out, it's just becoming more and more impossible every year. @cosmo @ferrarilegends @n8 @wgiwf
@ArdanianRight Pre-pandemic a 1 bedroom apartment was 350~400$ (depending on what part of the building, etc.) Now it's 600$. Keep in mind that there's artificial staffing shortages all over the damn place and good luck getting a job that will pay for that (lol, you'll need 2 or 3). @cosmo @ferrarilegends @n8 @wgiwf
@ArdanianRight
Oh! I forgot some additional notes:
- utilities are probably not included! I live in a state with really cold winters and humid as fuck summers. Lol
- Oh what if you get sick or injured? Shitty state health insurance won't do much so that costs $$$$
@cosmo @ferrarilegends @n8 @wgiwf
@wgiwf See, this is why I'm rejected by most "leftists" for one simple reason: I'm against (non-white) immigration. It hurts the working and middle classes, but apparently that's taboo to say. Why would your boss bother giving you good working conditions when he can hire someone who will work for next to nothing. @ArdanianRight @cosmo @ferrarilegends @n8
@wgiwf Even in my area apartments are starting to get stupid expensive and people who need roommates are all either boomers or just straight up awful people. Rent has doubled in only 5 years. @ArdanianRight @cosmo @ferrarilegends @n8
@ArdanianRight Everyone thinks about kids or family for this scenario, which is important but there's another thing that isn't thought about that much. What if someone gets injured or sick? While you'd like to stay home with them it's not always realistic, if you had family living with you you can be assured that while /you/ may not be the one looking after them right now, someone close to you (mom, dad, aunt, etc) is. @ferrarilegends @n8
