I'm proud of him already, and I haven't even written his story out yet.

@kakol @matrix I prefer not to surround myself with symbols of people who want to kill me.

@seq Shaving your cat is cruel. They need their fur to stay warm.

Also, of course, because it frames ethnicity as being just "white" and "not white". It's still using white as the baseline, and using one catchall term for everyone who is "not white".

I can kind of see the logic behind person of color vs colored person - putting the "person" ahead of the "color" - but it still seems like such a distasteful term to use, considering the history behind the term "colored person" and the extreme similarity between the two terms.

@georgia@dickkickextremist.xyz It's the same as how colored person is racist but person of color is politically correct. Some upper middle class white woman busted out a thesaurus and swapped a word around, and suddenly racism is defeated forever.

Referring to someone as a "body" is dehumanizing.

@dave this is like groups but the exact opposite of groups
like a post hidden to everyone in a group but visible to everyone else

@kazuma@rawr-xd.club thank you for reading my blog post

@fluffy but ancaps/libright support and encourage charity, to a practically absurd extent.
they treat charity almost as if it's a magical force that will always fix every possible flaw pure free market capitalism has.
more accurate would be the ancap saying something like "OMG this solved literally every single problem in society".

@matrix Pure coincidence. Don't ask questions or think. Only insane conspiracy theorists do things like that.

@sim It's that mastodon table thing everyone uses for pronouns and IM clients. It doesn't show up from PleromaFE, but if you look at my profile (or most mastodon users) from MastoFE, Soapbox, or locally on my instance, you'll see what I mean.

@Orakel @TwyrLesbo yeah well neither did I but Gods an asshole who thinks it's funny to curse people with eternal misery, that shit just happens

who do i toot at to make a pleroma feature request
pleroma needs a feature to hide a post for a specific user or set of users, not making it impossible for them to see it, but like, display it like a normally hidden post where they can choose to expand it.
and let me apply it to reblogs too.
this might seem stupid or pointless, but I sometimes want to say something or reblog something, but know it might upset someone, so I want to hide it so they don't need to see it. @pleromadevs@pleromadevwebsitefordevelopingpleroma.pleromatld please add this feature
also please port it to mastodon when you finish developing it too. maybe soapbox as well.

@matrix Damn, for possibly the first time ever, lib left is the most appealing quadrant on a political compass meme.
