so here are a few of my police reform ideas, tell me what you think
- mandatory body cams for all cops at all times
- if body cam footage is lost, damaged, corrupted, etc, or body cam malfunctions in any way, assume everything the cop says is a lie and everything the other people say is true. assume malicious intent on the part of the cop, always.
- any crime a cop or former cop is charged guilty of has its sentence multiplied, Im thinking 2x or 3x seem most fair, but I'm open to larger multipliers.
- any violent crime committed by a cop carries a potential death penalty. this is because of how frequently cops kill innocent people. a cop carries a threat of lethal force at any time, where any minor slight can end a persons life, and resisting police brutality is often fatal. therefore it is only fair to put the police on equal footing, where any minor violent offense a cop commits will cause them to potentially face the death penalty for their crimes. combined with the body cams this will hopefully encourage cops to reign in their violent impulses, putting a stop to police brutality

I think that food stamps only enforce poverty. People can only use them on food and can't do anything with the ones that remain so they just buy more food. People can't save up by smart purchasing decisions. If you look in the US the most common purchases with them are sodas and sweets.
