@Iluvyu @whatfollowswillswallow men and maleness aren't the problem with our society imo. the increased chauvinism lately is a reaction by young men to being increasingly lonely and isolated because the historical mechanisms of male privilege (employment, access to money, social status, respectability over women) have simply been disappearing for the average male, more as a result of economic depression than of women catching up. without the mechanisms of male privilege, and without the social supports of feminism and female camaraderie which developed to help women in a position of servitude, there's just a lot of disenfranchised lonely bitter guys with no support system. some turn to simping, others to incel misogyny, others to the sigma grindset, and still others to exploring their feminine side as femboys or simply transitioning to female, in some cases by transmaxxing (they don't identify as female and they claim to transition purely to improve their lives). this latter may contradict the official narrative on trans women but the incel to trans pipeline is a well recognized phenomenon and i have reason to believe that many of today's trans women would have repressed their feminine desires under better social circumstances, and the explosion of depressive mtf transitions during the pandemic kinda demonstrates this lol. i'd also like to mention that there are plenty of trans women on places like 4chan who still hold onto a toxic boys club mindset, or who are still neo nazis, or who are still misogynist, so changing their gender isn't going to automatically "fix" them, although it will at least open their mind a little about female experiences hopefully.
