@icedquinn Were newspapers social media? Anybody could pay to put an ad out, no licensing needed to do it as the customer. Surely that's social media. These studies always strike me as sensational. What's mental illness? Surely there's a statistical curve, what about the people who were uneffected, or who were positively effected? They must exist, statistically speaking. Just like there are people who statistically exist who's mental health has been improved by an HIV diagnosis doesn't mean that's the cure for depression, but it proves people are not machines and react vastly differently, social media being controlled is the alchemists stone of the 21st century, calling it unhealthy so it can be controlled like cigarettes, and then sent to destroy the third world just like cigarettes, is all too obvious a solution to western dominance that any calls to scapegoat it while maintaining capitalist dogma are disingenuous at best. Social media is what enabled occupy wallstreet, it's what enabled blm, all social movements that pissed off stockholders to no end (fuck them), and now they're desperate to poison the well, declare the well is poisoned, close down the well, open "Safe Well . gov" and sell the fucking water back to us that was ours in the first god damn place and fine before they shat in it.
