OK so this is weird, my feed won't update on pawoo, but local feed updates fine.  I can see my posts there from another account on another instance (this one)...so...wtf?  I'm not banned, but why is my feed not updating???

And this same logic applies to all subjects and topics. We must be free to think, and free to discuss those thoughts with our fellows, if we are to exist as a society. Punishing people for thoughts (not actions, but thoughts alone) socially or legally is horrific, and a society can not function this way for very long without metastasizing and inhibiting its own function. In the worse case scenario this results in complete dissolution of the "society" (defined here as a collective of individuals with a shared language and value system who interact in functional symbiosis) in question, either because all the individuals in it have died off or were absorbed by other societies.
