What is the point of building a community for trans fems if members of said community aren't allowed to have routine mental breakdowns?
This isn't a hypothetical. A safe space for us is necessarily a space where we can occasionally lose our fucking minds.
If the standard is utter perfection, then that will just lead to further trauma because it's totally unreasonable. This is what the respectability allies will do with you. The one-way perfectionism will slowly grind you down until you can't take it any more, then you become a target.
Why should we put up with demands for sanity if it only hurts us?
