And I think this is why I don't feel that strong, murderous jealousy with men. Evolution knows the difference between men and women, so does culture, men are not capable of pregnancy (cry about it) and are viewed as individuals. Women produce new units, and are viewed as infantile. I just want to explain where the feeling of murderous rage comes from regarding sexual jealousy.

Theory: Murderous jealousy exists because of evolution. Think about it, in the wild it is common for a woman to die in childbirth or to becomes maimed and unable to have more. So in a natural setting it could mean one woman, one baby. Now, imagine you see a woman with your competitor, sexually, and you become filled with rage. You not only kill him, but her as well. This is because you would rather destroy any potential competitors genes. So you're in israel 500 BC, someone fucks your wife, what do you do? You kill them both, simple as. Slingblade style. You kill him for making himself competition, and you kill her for collaborating with your competition.

I've been thinking about burdens, and while it's understood that everyone has their own to carry it is clear that some are being crushed while others are able to skip down the street. Then there are the cases where it is not so clear, the popular person who commits suicide, or the crybully who is the eternal faultless victim no matter how well things are for them and their loved ones. I have no solution, and the situation seems like a cruel joke. I'll end with a poem.
